When and where are services?
Ligonier United Methodist Church has two distinctly different worship services on Sunday mornings. We have two buildings located on the 466 Townline Road campus in Ligonier, with The CrossWalk located just northwest of the traditional "Mount" church building.
The Mount
9:00 am Traditional Worship Service featuring organ-accompanied hymns, choir anthems and liturgy in a more traditional atmosphere of stained glass and woodwork.
The CrossWalk
10:30 am Modern Worship Service
with contemporary Christian music led by a worship band, multi-media presentations and a more casual environment.
What about my kids?
Children are always welcome to remain with you in the worship service. However, a nursery is located just outside of the sanctuary at The Mount 9:00 am service for feedings, diaper changes, etc. A fully-staffed nursery is available for your convenience to care for infants 6 weeks old to preschoolers adjacent to the worship space at The CrossWalk 10:30 am service. Children (K-6th grade) are invited to attend Junior Church immediately following "Children's Chat" at the 10:30am CrossWalk service. This is a time of learning more about Jesus through stories in the Bible, crafts, activities and snacks.
How do I request prayer?
Ligonier UMC has a text and an email prayer chain. If you would like to request prayer, send an email to lmethod@ligtel.com or call the church office at 260.894.3765. If your prayer request is private, please indicate that and your request will only be forwarded to Pastor Jean Ness. If you are interested in being added to either prayer chain, please contact the church office. Prayer cards for individuals to complete are also available at The Mount (on the small prayer table in the narthex/lobby) These requests will be prayed for during prayer time on Sundays, unless they are designated as private.
Am I allowed to take communion?
Communion is typically served the first Sunday of each month at Ligonier United Methodist Church. All are welcome to receive communion whether a member or not, child or adult.
What does the United Methodist Church believe?
As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church's life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
